Hello. My calculations on problem number 11 of problem set 10 do not agree with the answer given. When I added 347+563, I received the answer of 910. Therefore, the sum of 9+0 was 9. Though, the answer given is 911 (9+1=10). Can someone please explain this problem to me? Thanks.
On question 39, I think the answer should be 90 because if it were 180, you’d be counting each game twice. For example, the two games between Team 1 and Team 2 are the same games. You can’t count it as two games for Team 1 and two games for Team 2.

The answer given is a typo. It should read 910 or 9 + 0 = 9 as you indicate. Good catch! I think you understand it quite well.

Absolutely correct. Good catch. The game count of 1-2 is the same as the game 2-1 so you must avoid double counting.
